San Geronimo Valley Planning Group

If you ever wonder about the air quality around your home, you might want to check out PurpleAir.

The company sells a wireless, real-time, air-quality monitoring sensor starting at $249 that is easy to install. You will need a nearby 120VAC power supply and wifi internet service. The sensor measures smoke, dust, and other particulate pollution and uploads this information every 80 seconds. Sensors are currently installed at various locations in the Valley; you can see these read-outs on this map.
